About this piece
The Dead Fairy Shadow Box returns in a completely updated edition, featuring a newly refined specimen while preserving the familiar presentation of the original Monster Labs artifact.
The fairy’s body, facial features, and anatomical proportions have been resculpted to create a more natural and unsettling mummified appearance. Its wings feature a new hand-painted pattern, while additional ornamental details and an aged gauze loincloth give the specimen a richer and more elaborate presentation.
The fairy remains mounted inside the same distressed wooden shadow box used for the original edition.
On its significance
Pinned and framed as physical evidence of forgotten folklore, the Dead Fairy appears to have been recovered from an ancient woodland site and preserved inside a private collector’s cabinet.
This updated version retains the concept and dimensions of the original piece while introducing improved anatomy, more detailed craftsmanship, and a more elaborate aged finish.
